In addition to all the other outdoor activities Quakertown offers, it is also home to the wonderful Tohickon Family Campground. Part of the 29.5-mile-long Tohickon Creek runs through the campground. It is considered a cold–water fishery and is stocked annually with trout. There are over 200 campsites available at Tohickon Family Campground, many nestled along the creek, and all were upgraded to full – hook-up sites. Rentals for the sites are available in 1-to-2-week rentals. Seasonal (where you can leave your camper, and even yearly sites are available however, the water is shut off and many amenities are closed.

- Boating, Kayaking, canoeing, and tubing in Tohickon Creek. Kayaks are available to rent.

- Outdoor Nerf Course: Bring your own Nerf guns or rent them. The course is also available for laser tag.
- Kid’s Loft: All kinds of games are available for rainy days.
- Hiking and fishing
- Gaga Ball: A large Gaga ball pit.
- Hay Rides
- Arts & Crafts
- Building Block Tables: Thousands and thousands of LEGO pieces.
- RC Car Dirt Track: Bring your own RC car or truck. Rentals are available.
- Kids Construction Zone: A giant gravel pile, complete with all types and sizes of trucks and construction vehicles.
- Giant Building Blocks: Over 1,000 building blocks are available to let your imagination run wild.
No wonder Tohickon Family Campground is one of the most popular campgrounds in eastern Pennsylvania.
Last Chance Ranch of Quakertown
No story about Quakertown is complete without mentioning the incredible Last Chance Ranch. This non–profit organization rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes over 1,000 neglected and abandoned animals each year. Sitting on over 35 acres, the Last Chance Ranch rescues reptiles, rabbits, dogs, cats, horses, ponies, donkeys, mules, birds, farm animals, small animals, and adoptive pets. There is a 9 – 9-stall barn, an indoor riding arena, many pastures with run-in sheds, a 15–run kennel, and a small animal room, The ranch can house over 150 animals of all types at one time.
The Last Chance Ranch also offers:
- Horseback riding lessons.
- Dog grooming and obedience lessons.
- Community Center, with 3 rooms available to house up to 100 people. Great for birthday parties, family events, clinical presentations, and more.
- Summer Camps: A Horse Camp, an All About Dogs Camp, and a Rescue Camp.
- Guided Tours.
- Thrift Store. An array of gently – used items for your pets and people. Furniture, Horse tacks, animal crates, leashes, collars, kids’ toys, books, electronics, and much more. All sales proceeds from these donated items benefit the animals of the Last Chance Ranch.
