As previously noted, Bucks County, Pennsylvania is one of Pennsylvania's largest, growing counties and the entire country. This beautiful county has so many towns and communities intermingled with wonderful countryside and rolling hills. This was highlighted by Priceline’s Travel + Leisure magazine, which recognized Bucks County as the top destination for fall foliage in 2024. Bucks County is also known for its numerous apple orchards, including the Styer Orchard and Solebury Orchards, where you can pick over 30 varieties of apples from the end of August through mid-November.
Endless Activities in Bucks County
Many areas in Bucks County are receiving accolades. Bristol was ranked as the “Most Walkable Town” in the region. Bring your walking shoes for the downtown Bristol area, with its many antique shops, historic mansions, and significant landmarks – highlighted by the King George II Inn, the oldest continually operating inn in the United States.
The Gusto Ristorante Italiano BYOB in Feasterville was recently voted as the “Best Italian Restaurant” in Pennsylvania by 5 Reasons to Visit. The restaurant wants you to experience the authentic taste and culture of Italy without having to travel there.

Bucks County also has several “must visit” restaurants for dining outdoors, including:
- Stella of New Hope. This 120–seat restaurant features various outdoor seating, including a 2nd-floor outdoor deck that offers panoramic views of the Delaware River, along with a menu inspired by local and seasonal ingredients from the region’s best farmers and food artisans.
- Black Bass Hotel. Also situated along the huge Delaware River, the Black Bass Hotel was built in 1745. It is one of the oldest operating inns in the country and offers magical views, 2 historic taverns, and a New Orlean’s influenced menu.
- Holy Que Smokehouse. Located right next to the wildly popular Peddler’s Village, you can sit at one of the many outdoor tables surrounded by tall trees and enjoy a host of traditional Texas-style BBQ staples.
- The newest outdoor addition is Rams Pint House & Rooftop Lounge in Perkasie. Established in 2020, you can enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and variety of food in the large, 1st-floor wooden bar surrounded by old brick walls, or dine outside on the rooftop deck that features a 2nd outdoor bar sheltered by a roof, along with ample outdoor seating.
No wonder Bucks County is getting so much attention.
